The MP1401 is a fully synthesized 800 channel miniature UHF transceiver featuring the very latest in RF design techniques and components. Specifically designed and optimised for the reception of audio bandwidth data, it is used in OEM equipment to provide a half-duplex wireless data link.
An I2C bus is used to control all transmitter and receiver functions including frequency selection, transmitter-receiver switching and power control.
Offering the ultimate in user flexibility and configuration options, the combination of synthesizer and I2C control allows an elegant and cost-effective solution to radio telemetry system design.
The receiver utilises low power consumption circuitry throughout to minimise current drain. Fast turn-on and off times allow power strobing to further enhance power drain.
The receiver performance, being the major factor in achieving good radio ranges, has been optimised by use of high quality miniature helical filters and high specification crystal filters. The receiver exhibits excellent sensitivity even when subjected to high level unwanted signals.
Orders should specify in which country the units are to be used.
This model is also available in transmitter-only and receiver-only versions.
A range of modem boards is available to allow RS232 data streams to be sent.
